The Tasting Panel Magazine described it as, “Spending 22 months in French oak, the aromas are exotic and breathtaking: fresh linen and jasmine. The palate is extroverted and robust, with big-bodied notes of butterscotch and mango. A lift of lime brings in a linear acidity, with a sheath of vanilla wafer and cedar on the finish.” As our most lauded label, our 2019 Overt Chardonnay won Gold (94 points) at the Los Angeles Wine & Spirits Challenge, Double Gold at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, and received 94 points from The Tasting Panel Magazine.
🍷If you know more red wine drinkers, our 2019 Staring at the Sun Carignan from Alexander Valley makes for a one-of-a-kind present. The label itself is a work of art any wine enthusiast would be thrilled to display on their wine rack. The Tasting Panel Magazine awarded this varietal and vintage the Award of Excellence and 94 points, and described it as, “Mouth-coating chalky tannins are blessed with ripe cherry-vanilla and broad strokes of beet root and rhubarb. Gamey and earthy aromas and flavors persist on a subtle scale, while venison marinated in soy sauce lingers in the air. White pepper, clove, sweet tobacco, and a high wire acidity activate its amazing food-pairing abilities. Aged 12 months in French oak. Serve slightly chilled.”
